Garrett Tracey named COO/CCO at Sims Brothers Recycling
MARION, Ohio (March 24, 2014) — Sims Brothers Recycling has promoted Garrett Tracey to chief operating officer (COO) and chief commercial officer (CCO). He has served as vice president, ferrous division, since joining the company in 2008. The announcement was made by Gary Sims, president and chairman of the board.
As COO, Tracey will be accountable for the direction, operation, management and profitability of Sims Brothers" four Central Ohio scrap yards. His CCO responsibilities will center on managing all scrap marketing for the recycling company, including purchasing, sales and market positioning programs, as well as guiding long term scrap management initiatives and key commercial agreements.
Previous to joining Sims Brothers Recycling, Tracey held the positions of district manager and trader at Tube City IMS in Cincinnati. Prior to this he served as a ferrous broker and transportation account manager for the David J. Joseph Co. in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. He is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, with a B.S. in Business, and he attained an MBA at Northern Kentucky University.
